Once renowned for its temple fair and people’s market, Longfu Temple Region was in dire need for renovation of its commercial complex which were built after the temple was demolished after a fire. In the New Longfu Mansion, creative industries have been introduced, and office complexes were included in lower and top floors. On its ground level, interior streets go through the building and connect with exterior alleys. Furthermore, the decomposition of lower parts of the building achieved harmony with the neighborhood. Existing auxiliary buildings scattered around Longfu Temple’s site have all been redefined as cultural and commercial spaces, forming a vigorous cluster for the city.
