The Silk String Theater boasts two intangible cultural heritages. The lounge has a maximum overhanging length of 10 meters. Each part of the ceiling can be modified on demand, and the low stage has drawn the audience close to the performers. The purple-bronze colored aluminum panels and bamboo-based steel bars have implied the connection between modern building technology and traditional materials. Gray shale slabs resemble the texture of the ancient city walls, while the coarse ceramsite concrete base pays tribute to the fortifications built during the Chande Battle, a tragic resistance against Japanese aggression.
